Practice

Nature compels us all to move through life. We couldn't remain stationary no matter how much we wished it. As humans we are programmed to grow, to develop, to improve to take us all to our full potential, and there is only one way we can do this - PRACTICE.

Think for a moment about all the things you can do, you have had to practice all of them. Do you still want to move about by crawling around the floor like you did as a baby? I doubt it but you had to practice how to walk. You had to practice how to ride a bike, you had to practice how to swim, in fact you had to practice doing everything you can do in your life.

I think I've made my point, if you want to be a good guitarist you must practice every day for as long as you can play for, this will accelerate your progress and also help to balance things up for the days when you cannot get to practice at all. Try to practice for at least one hour a day, three sets of twenty minutes.

It is more beneficial to practice daily as the fingers and also the brain only have to think back 24 hours to remember what to do, rather than doing four or five hours in one day as the fingers and brain have to go back a week to recall everything.

Never underestimate the power of practice it has made you who you are.

Get practicing.
