What is a White List?
You don't need me to tell you that SPAM, also known as Unsolicited, unwanted advertising eMail has become a big problem today. In an effort to reduce the impact this volume of spam has on our daily lives, most eMail services and Internet Service Providers (ISPs) have put some sort of blocking or filtering system in place. There are also a growing number of third party solutions to help you sort out the people you do want to hear from and those you don't.
Unfortunately it isn't that easy to sort out the good emails from the bad because that relies on someone else's idea of what spam is not yours. They often block eMail that you've requested, but that fits stheir idea of what spam looks like. Because of this difficulty you may find that you are not getting our emails through as you should.
However, all is not lost, there is something you can do to keep your guitarmembers.com emails from falling into this trap. You can create what is called a "White List".
All of the main providers have routines for creating a White List but as you'd expect thay are all different.
We have outlined instructions for some of the more popular ones below to get you started. If your particulr provider isn't there, we suggest you look on the main site of your provider for "White List" or contact their customer service people and for their help. In many instances this will involve raising a support ticket.
The first thing that we suggest you do is add us, support@guitarmembers.com to your address book.
Unfortunately, several of the most used eMail programs like Outlook Express, Eudora, Netscape Mail etc., don't have an easyt way for you to create a White List of the people you want to receive email from. So if you're using this sort of email system and you want to make sure you receive email from us, we suggest that you do the following.
Contact the customer service department or Postmaster at the company that provides your eMail or Internet connection (your ISP), explain to them that you have asked to receive email from internetcashstream and ask them if they can White List the email for you. They will probably ask you for some details about us, in which case;
